Window Screen Cleaning in Los Alamos

Mesa-top screens catch two things at once: fine volcanic tuff dust off the plateau and ponderosa pollen from the surrounding forest. We take each screen down, hand-wash mesh and frame, rinse, and reinstall.

North-facing and shaded screens are the ones to watch here. Organic debris stays damp longer on that side and adheres to the mesh rather than blowing clear, so those screens are usually noticeably worse than the sunny elevations of the same house.

Common Questions

Why are my north-side screens worse?
They stay damp longer, so pollen and needle debris stick rather than blowing off. It's a consistent pattern on mesa properties here.
How often should Los Alamos homes have screen cleaning done?
After ponderosa pollen finishes in late spring, and again after the monsoon.
Do you clean screens on high windows?
Yes — we remove and rewash them as part of the visit. Include them in your pane count when quoting.
