Window Track and Frame Cleaning in Lamy

Open grassland, continuous grit
Lamy sits in open high grassland with very little tree cover or terrain to slow the wind, so airborne grit reaches the glass more or less continuously through the dry months rather than arriving in episodes. Tracks fill steadily instead of seasonally, which is why a track here can look dirty again only weeks after a surface wipe that never reached the bottom of the channel.
Older sash needs a gentler hand
Much of the housing stock is older — single-pane sash, wood frames, putty glazing — and those joints hold dust in a way modern extruded frames do not. Wood channels and aged putty also will not tolerate aggressive scraping. We vacuum first, then use brush agitation and hand detailing along the channel and the glazing line, working around the putty rather than across it.
